Wellness. Community. Connection.
Heat Haven is a new kind of gathering space — an outdoor sauna park designed to bring people together. Imagine wood-fired barrel saunas, cooling zones, cozy outdoor spaces, and time to connect with friends or meet new ones. It’s where wellness meets community, and we’re bringing it to Southeast Wisconsin this year.

Sauna FAQs

Expect warmth, laughter, and a whole lot of steam. When you arrive, you’ll check in at our welcome tent, you’ll get a quick tour and then settle into your scheduled sauna session or event. You’ll rotate between cozy heat, cool-down zones, and relaxation areas — all surrounded by the magic of Hart Park.
-
Nope! A proper sauna session is all about rhythm. We encourage two to three rounds of heat, with breaks in between to cool off, hydrate, or hit the tipping bucket rinse stations. Listen to your body — you can step out, chat, or sip something refreshing before heading back in.
-
Bring your swimsuit (just skip the ones with metal details — they get extra toasty in the heat), a towel to sit on (trust us, those benches can sizzle), and a robe for lounging between sauna rounds. A robe makes it extra cozy while you cool down, wander the park, or grab a drink. You’ll also want flip-flops or slides for easy movement and a water bottle to stay hydrated. Forgot something? No worries — we’ve got extras and rentals on-site.
-
Absolutely. Sauna bathing has been linked to improved circulation, stress relief, muscle recovery, better sleep, and that unmistakable post-sauna glow. Plus, sweating it out with good company is basically therapy — the warm, steamy kind.
-
Our saunas typically range from 160°F to 190°F — steamy but safe. If you’re new to sauna life, start on a lower bench and build up gradually. Hydration is key (and we’ll have you covered with water stations).
-
Outside alcohol isn’t allowed (we’ve got to play nice with the park rules), but don’t worry — our outdoor concession bar with Pour Inc has everything from craft mocktails to cozy winter sips. Hydration and celebration? We’ve mastered both.
-
Most sessions are adult-focused, but we’ll offer select family-friendly hours and even a Little Lumberjacks Play Zone during some daytime events. Check our schedule for details on when it’s open — because parents deserve to sweat in peace.
-
If you’re pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions, or any health concerns, we recommend checking with your doctor first. Otherwise, sauna use is safe and beneficial for most healthy adults. Just remember to hydrate, cool down between rounds, and listen to your body.
-
Yes — especially for events and weekend sessions. Our saunas are intimate spaces and we like to keep things cozy (not crowded). You can reserve your spot online right from the events page. We only get our saunas cooking when we know we have bookings. If you walk up and we weren’t planning for you to be there, there is a good chance the saunas will not be lit.
-
Even better. Winter weather makes the sauna experience downright magical. Our saunas are heated to perfection, and the contrast between hot and cold is part of the fun. (Pro tip: snow angels between sauna rounds are encouraged but not required.)
-
We’re not your typical gym sauna — we’re a mobile sauna park built around community, creativity, and celebration. From movement classes to Heat Haven After Dark, we blend wellness with Wisconsin charm.
